Basic Filters
These filters are essential to create a system, without configuring these filters it is impossible to design a system.
a. Leagues
We are going to choose the leagues we want to work with, we can see the leagues that we have selected in the “Selected” tab and confirm by clicking “Done” and then we always confirm any changes by clicking “Apply changes”.
By clicking on the name of the country, all the available leagues in that country are directly included.
b. Seasons
We choose the seasons that we want to analyze. Depending on the seasons that we choose here we will see some data in the System Report panel and the others.
There are available winter seasons such as the Spanish, French league, etc … that start in one year and end in the next. For example, the 2020/2021 season. And also summer leagues, which begin and end in the same year as the Japanese or Brazilian league. For example season 2021/2021.
c. Market
Here we choose our main market on which we are going to work with. In Backtesting we have 18 markets available
Local winner (FT and HT)
Draw (FT and HT)
Away winner (FT and HT)
Over / Under 0.5 goals HT
Over / Under 1.5 goals (FT and HT)
Over / Under 2.5 and 3.5 goals FT
Both Teams Score YES and NO
d. Bookmaker
In Backtesting you can work with BET365, Betfair Sportbooks and Betfair Lay (this lay odd is inferred from the back sportbook odd).
e. Stake
This is where we choose the amount that we are going to assign to each unit. It would be the equivalent of choosing our stake.
The calculation of the percentage of hits, yield, etc. is done based on the application of a flat stake.
To confirm any change we must click on “Apply the changes”
There are 4 types of filters and within each one we are going to differentiate sub-filters. You can read about more filters here.
